On September 11. 2021, members of the CVFD, Bolivar County Volunteer Fire Department, Greenville Fire Department, Mississippi Highway Patrol, American Legion Post 536, Pafford EMS, Bolivar County EOC, Bolivar County Sheriffs' Office, and Cleveland Police Department remembered those lost 20 years ago in New York City, Arlington VA, and aboard Flight 93 in Shanksville PA.

At 7:46am Central Time, agencies gathered at Hwys 8/61 in Cleveland to stop traffic and remember those lost in the 9/11 attacks.

Later that afternoon, members completed a Memorial Stair Climb at Horace McCool Stadium on the campus of Delta State University. Those participating recreated the climb to the top of the World Trade Center of 110 floors. We would like to thank all those participating, coordinating, and those that came out in support. The climb was completed in conjunction with Pig Pickin' activities. Special thanks to Nehi Bottling Company of Cleveland MS for donating water for participants.
